ABOUT OUR STORY
So that people would be awakened to a new reality in Jesus
About Pastors Adam & Keira Smallcombe. Along with their three daughters, Madiha, Zali, and Zara, they moved from Newcastle, Australia in January 2012 in response to the call of God to plant a church in Silicon Valley. On the other side of their faith step, C3 Silicon Valley was born (now VIVE CHURCH), which currently has three locations across the Bay Area – San Francisco, Palo Alto, San Jose. Their leadership can be characterized as one of audacious faith, genuine relationship and a passionate pursuit of Jesus.
The innovative culture they have built at VIVE CHURCH will challenge many peoples’ perceptions of church. The Bay Area wide campaign they launched to start the church, “Not Religious? Neither Are We”, ended up having a global effect as many were impacted by the powerful message of a God who wants relationship, not just religious traditions. Pastors Adam & Keira are gifted and compelling communicators of the gospel and are focused on being part of revival in the Bay Area. They love nothing more than seeing people coming into a relationship with Jesus and following Him.
After 3 years of building and being a part of an incredible move of God in the Bay Area, in 2016 Pastors Adam and Keira changed the name of the church, not just to be connected to location (C3 Silicon Valley), but to be aligned with the mission. VIVE, meaning ‘to live’ in Spanish, is a declaration of the church’s mission: so that people would be awakened to a new reality in Jesus.
The C3 (Christian City Church) Movement is led by Pastors Phil & Chris Pringle of C3 Church Oxford Falls and is a global movement of churches connected together by the mission to see 1000 churches planted around the world by 2020. Click HERE for more info about this movement that we are a part of.

What we believe at VIVE Church
We believe the Bible is the living word of God. It is infallible, authoritative and everlasting and is the foundation of all Christian doctrine.
We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The three exist in community and possess equal power and authority.
We believe that God is our father. Being children of God, we will receive an inheritance of his love and grace. He is loving, compassionate and faithful to His people and His promises.
We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His constant intercession and in His imminent return.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit with His fruits and gifts available in the Church. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift available to believers subsequent to the new birth, with normal evidence of speaking in other tongues.
We believe in a heaven and a hell. Acceptance of forgiveness and salvation through Christ’s finished work on the cross, allows us to spend eternity with Him in heaven.
We believe that man is made in the image of God. Man was created to be in fellowship with God, however sin has separated us from the father. As a result, man cannot obtain right standing with God through works. It is only through grace that we can be reconciled to the father.
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In the spiritually lost condition of all people, there is an essential need for the new birth by faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe the church is the hope of the world. The church is the community of believers gathered and the community of believers scattered. As the church works together in unity to share the gospel, she will fulfill her purpose in distributing the gospel to all men and glory to God.
